We may communicate with you by email, phone, voicemail, text message, mail, and in person about your inquiry and your loan. Some communications use more than one channel. They are intended only for you or someone authorized to act for you. This page summarizes how we communicate. Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service give the full details.

Text messages

We text you only if you opt in. Direct Rate Home Loans, Inc. and your Direct Rate loan officer may text you about your inquiry, appointments, and loan application, including replies to your questions, document requests, and status updates.
Texts come from your loan officer’s Direct Rate number or from our company line, 877-318-9515.
We do not text rates, loan offers, promotions, or third-party marketing.
Consent is optional and is not a condition of applying for or getting a loan. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time, and we will stop sending texts from that number. Reply HELP for help. You can also tell us you want to stop in any other reasonable way, and we will honor it.
Your consent is collected by Direct Rate for Direct Rate. We do not sell or share it with any other business for its marketing.

AI assistant and AI receptionist

After you apply, your loan officer may ask by text whether their AI assistant, Araya, can check in with you. It does so only if you reply Yes, and you can reply No at any time.
When you call our company line about a new loan, an AI receptionist may answer. It tells you that it is an AI and that the call is recorded, and asks whether that is okay. If you say no, you are transferred to a team member and the call is not recorded.
Our company text line, 877-318-9515, does not use AI to reply. Licensed Direct Rate loan officers remain responsible for your mortgage.

Phone calls

Calls with Direct Rate may be recorded for service quality, training, compliance, and recordkeeping. We tell callers at the start of a call that it may be recorded.

Email

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email. We will still send emails you need about your inquiry or loan.

Sensitive information

Please do not send Social Security numbers, account numbers, or other sensitive details by ordinary text message or email. We will direct you to a secure method.
